These General Terms and Conditions apply when booking an online course from Views & Insights.com (hereinafter referred to as “V&I”).

V&I offers its courses in one of two variants: a) as a one-day or multi-day course (hereinafter referred to as "live course"), which is conducted online by a lecturer — via video conferencing software — or b) as a series of thematically related video recordings (hereinafter referred to as "instructional videos"), which can be accessed for streaming on demand from the video portal vimeo.com/viewsandinsights - after transmission of access codes.

Registration for live courses is usually possible up to two weeks before the start of a course using the registration form on www.viewsandinsights.com. Registrations are binding. The contract for participation in the event is concluded upon receipt of the registration confirmation. V&I reserves the right to revoke registration confirmations for important reasons (e.g. overbooking of a course or non-payment of the course fee). In this case, a course fee that has already been paid will be refunded immediately. Any further liability and claims for damages are excluded.

Registration for a V&I live course can be revoked at any time up to the registration deadline for this course in text form by email to info@viewsandinsights.com. You can cancel free of charge up to the 5th day before the registration deadline. In the event of later cancellation, the full course fee will be charged.

We reserve the right to cancel a live course for important reasons. An important reason is, in particular, falling below the minimum number of participants or the absence of the lecturer due to illness.
In the event of cancellation of a live course by V&I, the full course fee will be refunded. Any further liability and claims for damages are excluded.

V&I is entitled to make minor changes in content and organization to the program of a live course before or during an event, provided this does not significantly impair the usefulness of the course.

V&I instructional videos are offered for streaming. Downloading these video files from vimeo.com/viewsandinsights and saving them on storage media outside of this video portal is not permitted. After booking a course consisting of instructional videos, course participants will receive the necessary access codes for this course at vimeo.com/viewsandinsights. These access codes remain valid for a period of three months. Passing on these access codes to third parties is not permitted. Cancellation of the booking of V&I instructional videos is excluded.

The accompanying material for the V&I courses is protected by copyright and may not be reproduced or distributed without the consent of V&I. In particular, documents, presentations, scripts, videos, images, sound recordings, etc. may not be passed on to third parties or publicly distributed or made accessible without the written consent of V&I. This also applies to excerpts from the accompanying material.

Personal or usage-related data is stored in the context of registration for V&I courses, participation in live courses and the booking and use of instructional videos to the organizationally and technically necessary extent. By registering, taking part in the course or using the instructional videos, you agree to the storage of the data.

Unless otherwise stated, the course fee includes participation in the course or the use of the instructional videos and the accompanying material.
Without exception, V&I courses are aimed at the realization of high methodological quality standards and good scientific practice and are prepared and carried out to the best of our knowledge. However, V&I assumes no guarantee or liability for the topicality, completeness and correctness of the content and accompanying documents presented or made available as part of a live course or instructional video.
In the case of the instructional videos, the period of use of the required access codes is three months from the time of booking.

The decisive factor is the fee — possibly reduced by an early bird discount — that is displayed for a course at www.viewsandinsights.com/kurse/buchen at the time of booking. The euro information displayed there already includes the statutory value-added tax. The fee is due when booking a course and must be paid without deduction before the course begins or before the booked series of instructional videos can be used.

The use of the V&I courses requires the availability of a computer (e.g. PC, notebook, tablet, smartphone) according to today's usual technical standard, which enables the necessary access to the Internet, the playing of videos, the participation in video conferences and the use of the V&I course management system. The video conferencing software ZOOM is used to conduct the live courses. A broadband connection may be required for the smoothest possible Internet connection. V&I is happy to help clarify whether the technical requirements for course participation are met.

V&I assumes no liability for a stable and smoothly functioning internet connection, e.g. during the sessions of a live course.

V&I is liable in cases of intent or gross negligence according to the statutory provisions. Liability for guarantees is independent of fault. V&I is only liable for slight negligence in accordance with the provisions of the Product Liability Act, for injury to life, limb or health or for breach of essential contractual obligations. However, the claim for damages for the slightly negligent breach of essential contractual obligations is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract (total amount of the agreed course fee), insofar as there is no liability for injury to life, limb or health. Compensation for indirect damage and unforeseeable consequential damage is excluded.

V&I is liable to the same extent for the fault of vicarious agents and representatives.

German law applies exclusively to the business relationship between the parties. Place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract is Bremen.

Consumers have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal from the day of registration and can withdraw from a registration for a V&I live course without giving reasons. If the course fee has already been paid, it will be refunded to you within fourteen days from the day on which V&I received notification of your cancellation. To exercise your right of withdrawal, please email us a statement to that effect at info@viewsandinsights.com.

Digital content is excluded from revocation. This applies to the booking of V&I instructional videos if you have agreed to the transmission of the access code for the instructional videos to you before the cancellation period has expired.
